Autumn at the Zoo.

It's dark, damp, there's a chill in the air and the clocks go back. All those little signs that autumn has clearly arrived.

So when a sunny Sunday arrives it's a great time to don the wellies, visit the Zoo and see how are tropical friends are coping.

As you can see they are either braving the odd foray outside or they're hunkered into the warmth of their hay filled homes.

Pumpkins pepper the site. Carved grinning faces provide a welcome punch of colour in these fading fields. Kids and animals love them.

La Hougue Bie for La Fête Du R'Nouvé

Jersey Heritage heralded the arrival of Spring with La Fête Du R'Nouvé in the grounds of La Hogue Bie.

Once again the small site was filled with families wanting to get closer to nature allowing children to discover bugs, flora and fauna in abundance.

Pot's were coiled, candles rolled and small explorers slid squealing with delight down castle ramparts.

The Chugging Pig provided sustenance for those without a picnic others simply spread a blanket down and shared a welcome repast in the shaded sunlight.
