Jersey was joined to France and wandering tribes crossed continents to shelter in Jersey's landscape. They hunted reindeer, fished its waters and napped flints and its remnants of those activities the team are slowly discovering.
About 150 finds are carefully prised daily from the clay pit. In some cases the white flint exposed to sunlight will slowly turn blue. Each find is located, measured and bagged.
Any visitor will be warmly welcomed until the dig is once again covered over at the end of July.
